A natural extension of the bush and landscape, Rhino Post Safari Lodge welcomes you to South Africa’s iconic Kruger National Park.

Experience responsible, eco-conscious tourism, extremely comfortable affordable accommodation, and staggering biodiversity, including the highly publicized big five. Enjoy our relaxed, friendly atmosphere, and let us show you Africa’s heartbeat.

Rhino Post Safari Lodge has been offering a chic alternative to the traditional park visit with exciting extra options thrown in, for thirteen years now. And what a fabulous thirteen years it has been! We have been nominated for and received awards, and developed a following of regular guests and friends that we look forward to seeing at least once a year. Some guests on their first visit are surprised by the ways in which we differ from both the standard Kruger Park experience and the trendy private lodge experience. Rhino Post Safari Lodge is not just a beautiful, and contemporary design built from canvas, wood and glass – it blends into the natural surrounds with no sculpted gardens or fences. The ambience is relaxed and friendly. Guests join their guides and management around the dinner table in the sociable atmosphere of the Kruger Camps, while enjoying the level of service and luxury expected from any upmarket game lodge.

Rhino Post Safari Lodge offers early morning and evening safari drives. Safari drives are conducted in specially adapted open Landcruisers, with professional guides.
In addition to driving on our 12,000 hectare concession, we have exclusive use of some of the Kruger National Park public roads at night. SANparks has allowed us the added advantage of being able to utilise 170km of Park roads after gate closing time – when all the self-drive tourists have left and when the other concessions have to be back on their own property.
A typical day would include an early start, a cup of fresh coffee or tea, after which guests set out on their safari drive. Guides at the lodge meet the stringent requirements of the South African National Parks and senior guides hold the highest guiding qualifications possible in South Africa, to ensure that your encounters with the African wilderness are exciting, informative and safe.
In the late afternoon after a delicious high tea, you can enjoy an evening safari drive, winding down with sundowners, watching an African sunset and spotting nocturnal animals in the Park.

Pre-book a night at the exciting sleep out decks. You will leave Rhino Post at approximately 16h00 to drive into the wilderness concession and spend the night under the stars on the raised platforms. Enjoy a meal cooked over an open fire and look out for animals drinking at the waterhole below before curling up sleep, lulled by nature’s night sounds.
Play a round of golf on the Kruger Park’s unfenced golf course. Enjoy sightings of hippos and crocodiles, while pitting your wits against both the 9 hole (18 tee box) course and the baboons, impalas and warthogs that roam the fairways.

Whether you need to de-stress with an Anti-Stress Massage, recover flexibility with a Deep Tissue Massage, or just pamper yourself with a Tribal African Wrap, our professional spa treatments take place in the privacy of your own room. In-room spa therapies are available on pre-booking between 06h30 and 13h30 daily. Please book at least 24 hours in advance to avoid disappointment and confirm your treatment by 16h00 the day before

Guests are accommodated in six circular air-conditioned homesteads with traditional earth-coloured walls and tapered thatched reed roofs.

Tsonga tradition runs throughout these comfortable homesteads; the warm glow of brightly coloured walls, traditional ornaments and little embellishments on lamps, door handles and mirrors bringing this local culture to life.

Relax on your private deck looking out on to the bush, take a long, leisurely shower in the open air or melt into your comfortable king-size bed for an afternoon siesta. It’s your relaxing, informal bush experience on your terms.
